Planon Challenge 2023: A Triumph in Team Spirit

Last year, the people of Planon once again showed that they are capable of pushing boundaries, uniting worldwide in exciting sport events and achieving new goals. Comprising three distinct events, the Planon Challenge showcased the diverse talent and collaborative spirit of the Planon family.

The first event took place in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, where over 60 colleagues from both our Dutch and German offices came together to participate in the Strong Viking Run – Water Edition. Each participant had to run 7, 13, 19 or 42 kilometres, while overcoming several obstacles. Despite the warm weather conditions, our team displayed determination, physical strength and teamwork as they conquered the distances and fearlessly tackled the obstacles throughout the challenging course, supporting each other along the way. All Planon challengers successfully completed the run, crossing the finish line with smiles of accomplishment.

Meanwhile, across the globe in India, the Planon Challenge continued with the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon. The motto of the 115 Planon participants, as well as the organisation of the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon, was: ‘If you want to win, run 100 metres. If you want an experience, run a marathon.’ And what an experience they had! The event had everything a runner could wish for: competition, camaraderie, challenge, and much more. The marathon provided a platform for our colleagues to exhibit their running skills and underscore their dedication to the goal. It truly was a journey and a day the participants will never forget!

Last, but certainly not least, the Planon Challenge concluded in the United Kingdom where 9 participants ran the Goodwood Inflatable Race in aid of Care for Veterans. With 32 inflatables to bounce through, an element of fun and laughter was injected into the competitive spirit of the 5K race. Nonetheless, this race wasn’t all fun and games. Together with the other participants, the team managed to raise over £2,000 for disabled veterans’ vital care services. What an amazing achievement!

The Planon Challenge 2023, like all the past and future ones, will have a lasting impact on the participants and the entire Planon community, reminding us to not only challenge ourselves on the running course, but in our daily lives as well. The Planon Challenge 2023 celebrated our healthy, collaborative, and engaged team. The remarkable efforts of all our colleagues worldwide embody the spirit of resilience and determination that defines our organisation. Congratulations to all the participants for their outstanding performance and to all those who supported in different ways - we can’t wait to see what you will achieve this year!
