Leading European integrated workplace management systems software developer names two IWMS veterans to lead operations and sales efforts
BOSTON – May 5, 2006 – Leading European Integrated Workplace Management
Systems software developer Planon International today announced it has opened
operations in North America, with headquarters in Boston, Mass. The new operations are led by industry veterans Leonard Bosman and Sam Rabon as vice president of operations and vice president of sales and marketing respectively.
Planon, a 23 year old company, is recognized as the IWMS industry leader in Europe
with reported 2005 sales of $20 million (U.S.). The company is currently represented in 14 countries with an impressive client base of more than 1000 customers including:University of Oxford, ING Bank, Shell, British American Tobacco, European Air Traffic Control, Nike, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, NATO, Dresdner Bank AG, Bayer, AKZO Nobel, Syngenta, Delhaize and Adidas.
Planon CEO Pierre Guelen, sees the company’s North American operations as an

According to industry analyst firm Gartner, Inc. in a 2005 report on the IWMS market, the industry is “rapidly evolving” with 2005 spending at $400 million and an expected growth rate of eight percent per year through 2009. The same report positioned Planon asa Visionary in the industry “because of its strong marketing, product development plans and commitment to process management.”
Vice President of Operations Leonard Bosman joins Planon from IWMS provider Tririga, where he led software implementation and consulting efforts. Vice President of Sales and Marketing Sam Rabon joins from IWMS provider FM:Systems where he led the company’s sales and marketing efforts. Both men bring more than 15 years of software industry experience to Planon.
According to Bosman and Rabon, they were enticed to join the company and launch
