2006 highlights include US Market expansion, strong European growth and Gartner Magic Quadrant Recognition
BRAINTREE, MASSACHUSETTS, January 2007 –- 2006 was an important year for Planon: Planon group again experiences strong growth in 2006 and is classed as a ‘Leader’.
The Planon Group once again posted impressive results in 2006. Last year was particularly important for Planon because of the successful launch in the US market, the strong growth in Europe, and the recognition by Gartner, which considers Planon a leader in the IWMS market.
In 2006, Planon achieved considerable growth for the 11th year running. Total revenue climbed to € 21.1 million, representing overall growth of 23% against the previous year.
Internationally too, Planon achieved good results, with the exponential growth in Belgium and Southern Europe standing out in particular. Its continuing success makes Planon one of the only 120 companies worldwide that have grown by more than 10% for 10 years in succession (Jason Jennings, Think Big act small). A unique achievement. Because of this continued growth, the head office in Nijmegen is currently being expanded by 70%. Planon BV now employs more than 280 employees in total, making it Europe's largest supplier of IWMS solutions.
Planon was also recognized at the end of 2006 by Gartner as a Leader in the Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) market. Gartner is the USA’s most authoritative research company. The company describes ‘Leaders’ as ‘suppliers who perform well, have a clear vision of market direction, and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market'. The main factors in branding Planon a leader were the successful launch on the US market and the development of the Planon software solutions, which now offer all the functionalities which are sought after in an IWMS package. The main differentiating factors included the Multi Client Architecture, Web (2.0), Rich and Mobile technology, the high level of ‘customer endorsement’, and the fact that Planon is the only IWMS supplier to be SAP-certified.
Planon’s launch on the US market was also successful. Several impressive clients from a range of sectors have already been welcomed, including Lenovo and BB&T, and there is a steady influx of new assignments. The US market is responding positively to the options Planon has to offer in the field of Integrated Workplace Management.
